Email Forwarding
Convert emails into tasks by forwarding them to Sunsama.
Email forwarding lets you transform emails into tasks that appear on today’s list or within the backlog by sending messages to a Sunsama forwarding address.
How to use
Get your forwarding address
You can locate two “Email Forwarding” addresses in the Integration Settings under the Email section. One address routes tasks to today’s list, while the other sends them to the backlog. Addresses follow this format: sunsama_hq+dQRrmNjANrXvPoKqL@email.sunsama.com

Sending a task to Sunsama
Tasks can be added by including the forwarding address as an email recipient. Forwarding, replying-to, cc-ing, and bcc-ing will all work.
Previews
Within Sunsama, you’ll see the forwarded email. Clicking into it displays a full preview of the sent message.
Best practices
- Add your forwarding addresses to your mail program’s contacts for quick access during email processing.
- Use the email forwarding address with tools like Zapier or IFTTT for automatic task additions when Sunsama lacks a direct integration.
